"They shall mount up on wings like eagles"
Our Story
Every mission has a beginning. Discover how God used a passion for aviation and a calling to ministry to inspire the vision behind Flight Crew 4031—and how that vision continues to grow today.

Our Founders
Jacob and Matherly Marshall are the founders of Flight Crew 4031, a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to providing humanitarian relief and non-emergency medical transportation to those in need.
Jacob grew up in Laconia, New Hampshire, where his passion for aviation began at an early age. He earned his private pilot certificate at Concord Municipal Airport before attending Averett University in Danville, Virginia, where he completed his professional flight training through the Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) level. Although aviation has always been a significant part of his life, God began placing a different vision on his heart in 2020—a vision that would slowly unfold over the years into what is now Flight Crew 4031.
In early 2024, Jacob felt a clear calling into ministry and pursued theological education through Liberty University Seminary. Looking back, he recognizes that many seemingly unrelated experiences and opportunities were preparing him for a mission that would combine his love for aviation with a calling to serve others in Christ's name.
Matherly was born and raised in Danville, Virginia, where she developed a heart for her community and a passion for helping others. Jacob and Matherly met through their local church, and their shared faith quickly became the foundation of their relationship. They were married in November 2024 and have committed their lives to serving God together.
As founders of Flight Crew 4031, Jacob and Matherly believe every person deserves hope, compassion, and access to care, regardless of financial circumstances or geographic barriers. Through volunteer pilots, generous supporters, and trusted ministry partners, they strive to demonstrate the love of Christ by serving families in times of crisis and helping patients reach the specialized medical care they need.
Their prayer is that every flight, every delivery, and every interaction points people to the hope found in Jesus Christ and reflects the promise of Isaiah 40:31: “They shall mount up with wings like eagles.”
